Temilola Adepetun is an Economist and a successful Female Entrepreneur. She holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lagos (1982) and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance, London -A.C.I.I. (1985).
She started her professional career in Ashland Oil Nigeria in 1986 and worked with the company for 12 years before transferring her services to Addax Petroleum. During her 14-year professional career, she worked in various strategic departments such as Economics & Planning, Treasury, Insurance and Human Resources. She resigned in the year 2000 to pioneer the concept of the one-stop school shop in Lagos, with the opening of her retail first shop at Onikan on September 9, 2000.
School Kits started operations with 2 members of staff; currently, it operates six business locations in Lagos and Abuja with over 80 members of staff.Temilola took the bold step of launching School Kits’ uniform brand known as Marcel Hughes Apparel in 2009, producing it from Turkey to cater to its growing demands. School Kits opened its local production facility, known as Weaveworx Limited in 2016 with a team of 6, which has increased to over 70 personnel after its recent expansion.
She is a Trustee of Courage Education Foundation; an NGO dedicated to educating indigent children. She is also an Associate of Women in Management and Business (WIMBIZ).
Temilola is married to Dr. Adebayo Adepetun and they have three sons; Damola, Denola and Ademide.
