Dr. Onyeonoro S. Kamanu, B.A; M.A; MALD; Ph.D

Dr Onye Kamanu holds a B.A. Degree from Bowdoin College, Maine, USA and M.A.; M.A.L.D, and Ph.D. in International Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School Tufts University, Massachusetts. He has held different appointments abroad: Asst. Professor. of Political Science and International Relations at Rutgers University, New Jersey; adjunct appointments at City College of the City University of New York, Farleigh Dickinson University in Trench, New Jersey and Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.

In Nigeria, he worked as Director of Research at the Nigeria Institute of International Affairs.  In 1979, he set up Hitech (Nigeria) Limited, a bank servicing organization.  He is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.  He is also the Chairman of Franon & Co Nig Ltd.

Married to Lillie Kamanu a retired US foreign service Officer who has been on appointments in various parts of the world including Indonesia, Qatar, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kuwait. Lesotho, Nigeria, Gambia, Zambia, Cambodia, and Fiji.

They have 5 children:  Dr Nnemdi Elias, Chief Medical Officer for HIV/AIDS Washington,D.C; Ms Kiki Kamanu, a fashion designer in New York, Mrs Amara Robbins, an actuarial analyst, Llyods of London, Ikezi Kamanu a software consultant with Adobe, and Eze Kamanu, a computer hardware engineer with IBM.
