Scope
The existence of Courage Education Foundation has brought the organization face to face with the realities of life of an average indigent family. A significant percentage of these people cannot afford to provide basic necessities for their children due to their socioeconomic status. On the other hand, current global economic challenges and the attendant rise in poverty have not only increased the severity of the problems CEF seeks to solve, but also stifled the flow of funds from traditional donors making it more difficult for the organization to continue to support the children on its program.
Courage Education Foundation (CEF) seeks to compliment already existing efforts by the Government and other civil society organizations, by creating awareness among the privileged in the society and getting them to sponsor the education of indigent children without necessarily taking on the responsibility of parenting. This campaign which was launched on June 16, 2024 in commemoration of the Day of the African Child, is focused on supporting the basic education of indigent children on the organization’s program. In this context “Basic” means primary and secondary education.
IMPACT GROUP
We focus on the education of indigent children within impoverished communities all across Nigeria. In our quest to carry through with this vision, the 4th Goal of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is front and center of our operations.
The proceeds from this campaign will provide scholarships for primary/secondary education to indigent children under our program. Emphasis will be placed on providing equal opportunity to both male and female children for primary/secondary education.
Evaluation Process
As a result of the rather unstable environment in which our students live in, we carry out Monitoring & Evaluation targeted at keeping up with students within and outside the classroom environment. Each of the 200 students will collectively undergo a specific review process at the end of each term and academic year.
This evaluation is intended as a means to check the academic development of the students and to receive feedback from the students as well as their teachers. Information generated from this process will enable the Foundation to measure the effectiveness of the program, as well as ensure sustainability of the children’s educational experience. CEF’s Monitoring & Evaluation team will manage this process and report duly to you.
To ensure the children we get off the street progress through the school system, and go on to complete a full educational cycle, we need =N=10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira) to keep 200 children in school for one term at an average cost of =N=50,000.00 per child.
Your donation towards this sum will be greatly appreciated.
There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning failure.nn– OLIVER SANDERO
